Diablo nipped her withers. "Alright, lead the way my beautiful mare," he said. He liked her that much. He'd follow her just about anywhere. He walked behind her.

Ok come on. I said braking into a trot and then a canter, with Diablo right behind me, as I started to fell the rain on my back. I knew the way and was comfortable running to the overhang. It was a little over half a mile away and we had to jump over a fue trees befor we got there. When we got there I slid to a stop right under the overhang. It went back about 10 feet and rocks had tumbled down around the side creating sides where the rain could not penitrate and get us weter than we were. I turned around to grin at Diablo. I started to walk bakwords toward the back of the overhang.

Diablo followed her and watched her. He looked around them before looking back at her again. "This place is pretty amazing. Maybe this could be a place for just you and myself once we have a band growing," he said.

Diablo got close to her and let his muzzle touch he withers. "I know it may seem strange but I think already I might be falling for you," he said softly. He didn't want to scare her.

"I know, but still I think it's right for me to love you," he said. He rubbed against her. He heard the storm hit outside but stayed relaxed with her around him.

I jumped sligtly as the storm hit with a clash of thunder and ligting. I calmed down fast when Diablo rubbed against me, but pulled away to lay down, nothing would be out in this weather and I felt safe around Diablo. Come on I said streaching my neck to touch him with my muzzle.

Diablo laid down beside her and laid his head and neck over her back. "This is relaxing. I like it," he said.

Diablo fell into a quiet and light sleep. He was happy for once. He knew tonight he'd probably dream about her and their future. But, he was just glad he has her with him now.

I awoke suddenly in the middle of the night felling someone behind me. I quickly relalized it was Diablo and went back to sleep thinking of him.

Diablo woke feeling her awake and moved to lift his head from her back. He fell back to sleep.

I came awake thinking of Diablo. The rain had stopped and the sun was just coming over the horizon. I slowly got to my feet and walked out from under the overhang. I smelled the air, as I walked outside, to see if there was danger nearby. All I scented was the fresh air that only comes after a hard rain, the sent of pine trees was strong in the air. I could smell the water that ran in the stream not to far away. I looked around seeing the due on the grass and in the trees, the birds just starting to wake, and the small herd of deer grazing not to far away in the small meadow by the overhang

Diablo woke and got to his feet. He walked out from under the overhang and found her. He walked to her and nuzzled her shoulder gently. "Good morning, Cheyanne" he said. He stretched slightly and started to graze beside her. He was hungry after sleeping the night away.
