Lone Band Stallion

Silver snorted and waited for Stormy to finish nursing. The colt stopped nursing and moved to wander around. He wanted to get used to this place even though he knew deep down after a few years he'd be sent away from his mother. Silver lowered herself to the ground and rolled onto her side.

[Alpha]

Wildfire lowered his head to the ground and grazed on the dry grass. It was summer and the grass was dry. But Wildfire knew where the grass tured green in spring. He raised his head again, he had moved a little ways away from his new mare and her colt. But there was no other horse around and Wildfire felt they were safe.

[booster]

Silver relaxed and let herself nap a little. Stormy kept wandering around. But, then suddenly wandered too far from his dam and didn't know how to get back. He couldn't talk yet so he whinnied loudly. Silver woke with a start and got up. She nickered hearing Stormy's whinny.

[Alpha]

Wildfire had been grazing again when he heard the whinny, his head flew up and he cantered over to Silver looking in the direction he heard the whinny.

[booster]

Silver looked at Wildfire. She suddenly felt something inside. "We have to find him. If we don't anything could take him from me," she said. Stormy was stumbling along a path un aware as to what was happenin. He had no idea where he was.

[Alpha]

Wildfire looked at Silver, "We'll find him" she said then he trotted forward then stopped and called out. It was a very loud deep call that Wildfire hoped Stormy would hear. His head was raised high and his ears listening for an answer.

[booster]

Stormy heard the call but something else heard it to. He looked to his left and wolves were coming at him. He squealed in fear. He picked up a canter but knew if his dam or Wildfire didn't get to him he'd be a goner. Silver heard Stormy's fear filled squeal. She knew he was in danger. She picked up a canter rather quickly.

[Alpha]

Wildfire wasted no time when he heard Stormy's fearful call. He broke into a canter then picked up a gallop racing toward the call. Wildfire didn't want to loses his new family. He came up over at hill and slid to a stopped looked over the land for Stormy.

[booster]

Stormy had been cornered near a tree and a bush. He was trying to get the wolves to back away. He spotted Wildfire quickly and let out another fear filld squeal. Silver skid to a halt and looked around as she heard Stormy call out again.

[Alpha]

Wildfire reared and called out then he lunged forward and raced down the hill to where Stormy was. When he got closer he lowered his head and pined his ears back then he sunk his teeth into the closest wolf and let go. He slowed down and started kicked at the wolves trying to get them away from Stormy.

[booster]

Stormy had turned his head away. Silver trotted down to where they were. She had to help save her son. She turned and suddenly bucked and sent a wolf flying.

[Alpha]

Wildfire finally got to Stormy's side, he put his body between Stormy and the wolves. He kicked a wolf, it whinned then ran off, he reared and came down on another wolf killing it.

[booster]

Stormy got around him without being seen and quickly went to his mother. Silver stood protectively shielding her colt from the danger.

[Alpha]

The wolves started coming after Wildfire now but he ran right through them kicking at them. Then he picked up a trot and lowered his head again and pined his ears as he came over to Silver and Stormy he needed to get them as far away from the woves as he could.

[booster]

Silver looked at Wildfire and picked up a trot quickly. Stormy right close beside her staying clear of the wolves. The colt was still freaking out about being chases by wolves.
