The wolves had started to follow Wildfire, he snorted then picked up a canter pushing Silver to go faster. He knew wolves they where fast but they couldn't keep the pace up for very long.

Silver pushed into a canter. Stormy not long picking up the pace either. He was staying tightly at his mother's side. He snorted. Silver glanced behind them. She didn't know if she could keep this up for Stormy's safety or not.

Wildfire glanced behind him, the wolves had finally stopped following them but they hadn't turned around. Wildfire slowed to a trot again his head still low and ears pinned. He would get them a little farther before he stopped.

Silver had slowed into a trot. Stormy had grown tired and was walking not trotting. They didn't know if they could keep this up or not. They were nervous. Mostly since this hadn't happened to them before.

Wildfire slowed to a walk behind Stormy. He lifted his head and looked back as he walked, he couldn't see the wolves anymore. He stopped still looking back, he was on high alert now.

Silver halted and tossed her head slightly. Stormy halted next to his mother. He was hungry but he was too scared of the wolves that he refused to even eat anything. Silver noticed that her colt wasn't nursing and grew concerned.

Wildfire looked at Stormy then at Silver. "Are you both alright?" he asked as he walked up to them.

Silver snorted and looked to Wildfire. "I'm alright. But, he's not nursing. He's still pretty shaken up by what happened," she said. Stormy was ignoring them now. He closed his eyes thinking about what had happened.

Wildfire lowered his head and gently nuzzled Stormy's shoulder. He was worried about Stormy now.

Stormy moved away from Wildfire and walked a little bit away. He lowered to the ground and rolled onto his side. He was thinking now. Silver watched her colt. She didn't know if her colt would make it if he didn't nurse. "I hope he settles doesn soon and nurses. I don't want him to strave," she said.

"Give him a little time, he came close to death today. That would scare any foal." he said. Wildfire had gone through many situations like this.

"Okay, I guess your right. I'm just a little scared of him taking off again," she said. She suddenly reached and moved to touch his shoulder. She felt safe around him. Stormy opened his eyes and lifted his head seeing the mouse was back but he didn't want to play.

Wildfire stood still, he was watching Stormy. When Silver touched his shoulder he snorted softly. His ears were still alert.

"I should find a way to thank you, Wildfire. You've done so much for me and my colt. I just don't know what I can do," Silver said. She flicked her tail. Stormy had gotten up and looked to them. His body shock slightly as he kept remembering what happened.

Wildfire nuzzled Silver's neck, "You can thank me by having my foals, but only when your ready." he said.
