"Hmm, that's easy to do then. But, just wait until Stormy has grown out of nurseing before doing so," she said. She allowed him to nuzzle her neck. She even leaned into it a bit. Stormy was slowly walking over to them but didn't look like he planned on nursing at all.

Wildfire snorted softly, "Where ever your ready." he said, "I wont force you to do anything"

Silver snorted softly and arched her neck slightly. Then reached and nipped him playfully. "It seems my colt has finally realised nothing will hurt him again," she said softly. Stormy had gotten to them but seeing his dam move to allow him to nurse he backed away. His mind had trapped him from even going to try nursing right now.

Wildfire arched his neck too when silver nipped him. Then when she spoke he looked over at Stormy hoping he would nurse. When he backed away Wildfire was over to Stormy, "Its okay Stormy, I'll keep you safe nothing will harm while your here." he said hoping it would calm the colt.

Stormy suddenly looked up at Wildfire. "I feel trapped. That's why I can't bring myself to nurse," he said gently. Silver suddenly lifted her head in shock hearing her colt speak for the first time.

Wildfire was shock to hear the colt speek, he nuzzed Stormy gentely. "I know, I had things happen to me when I was little just like what happened today thats why I knew what to do. Things like this will make you stronger when you get older." he said.

Stormy snorted softly. "So, your saying that it's okay to feel how I'm feeling after what happened," he said. Silver was grazing on the dry grass. She didn't mind it being so dry. But, hoped soon it would have a little bit of water in it.

"Yes" Wildfire said. "It takes time but you wont feel that way anymore. And one day if that happens again you will be able to fight them off, like I did." Wildfire nuzzled Stormy again. "But you should nurse, so you can get strong."

Stormy snorted softly. He didn't speak again but nodded and went to his mother. Silver jumped feeling Stormy start to nurse off her. She relaxed and stopped grazing to keep an eye on her colt.

Wildfire watched them he was happy Stormy was nursing again. Then he raised his head high and smelt the air. He couldn't smell the wolves anymore. He relaxed and lowered his head to graze.

Silver turned her head and groomed her colt while he nursed. She knew he'd nap after as he had, had a very long day. She would stand over him so she could graze until she ate almost her fill then she'd join him for a nap.

Wildfire had eaten enough and walked over to stand by Silver and Stormy. He was not lonely anymore. His family would start out small but he knew it would grow. And when I did Wildfire know that wolves wouldn't be the only threat, other stallions would try to steal mares and Wildfire would have to be ready.

Silver snorted and felt Stormy stop nursing. The colt laid down and started to nap. Silver looked at Wildfire. "He's never spoken until today. I think he's learning to be a good colt again," she said.

Wildfire watched as Stormy laid down then he looked over at Silver. "If you don't mind me asking. Why did you leave your herd?" he asked her.

Silver snorted softly and looked at Wildfire. "I left because of the stallion that forced himself onto me to make me carry his foal. I was about a week into the pregnancy when I left the herd. I was hurt and sore. My mother was in that herd but after I left I stopped a mile away and watched them all get rounded up. I stayed hidden and I even watched them geld the stallion and I was glad they did. Then I started to travel and after a long time I was eleven months pregnant with Stormy and it was time for me to bring him into the world. I did just that. He was so weak for about three weeks. But, now we're here with you and he's getting stronger everyday," she said. Stormy moved slightly but stayed asleep.
