Silver arched her neck a bit and watched her colt sleep. "I have a feeling once he's used to you he may consider you as his father. I'd rather he never knew about his real father," she said. She flicked her tail and the pain in her stomach slowly went away. Stormy moved in his sleep a little, like he was racing other horses or something.

When Wildfire saw Stormy racing in his sleep he wasn't to laugh. But he didn't want to wake him. Then he thought of Silver, "How are you feeling?" he asked her. Hoping the pain in her stomach wasn't as bad anymore.

"I'm feeling better now actually. The pain has gone away. But, it won't stay gone" she said. She moved a little and scratched an itch on her leg. Stormy suddenly jolted awake and moved to get between them. He was shaking from having a bad dream.

Wildfire turned his head around to look at Stormy, "Are you okay?" he asked him. The storm was fading but the lightening was still lighting up the sky.

Stormy looked up at him. "I had a bad dream about the wolves. I don't think I want to go back to sleep," he said. Silver listened wondering if Wildfire could relax her son as she didn't know if she could feel like she was feeling.

Wildfire nuzzled him gently, "Its okay, it was just a dream." he said hoping that would calm him. "Even I have scary dreams some times." He added.

Stprmy relaxed under the nuzzle. "Would it be alright if I call you, dad? I know I oly met you today but I feel something deep down that makes me trust you," he said. Silver listened to them as she laid her head down to rest. She would sleep once her colt went back to sleep.

"I would like that very much." he said. He was pround that Stormy said that. Wildfire was happier than ever now. He nuzzled Stormy again. "You should get more rest. I'll watch over you." he said.

Stormy snorted softly and curled against him a little. "I'll see you in the morning then, right Dad," he said. He was a very smart little colt. Silver closed her eyes to let herself rest a little. She wished to continue talking to Wildfire before she went to sleep.

"Right son." he said, Wildfire like saying that. From now on Storm was his son. Maybe not by blood in every other way.

Stormy slowly drifted off to sleep. Silver lifted her head and nuzzled her colt. Then she scratched at her leg again. She didn't know if Wildfire still wanted to talk with her or not.

Wildfire watched as Stormy fell asleep then he looked out. The storm had finnally stopped but the thunder and lightening still lit up the dark clouds.

Silver looked at Wildfire. "I hope we gain more members to this herd soon. Then he can have foals to play with that are his age," she said softly. She didn't want to wake him. Stormy stayed asleep.

Wildfire looked back at Silver, "I hope so too." he said in a low voice. "But when we do, I'll need to have a lead mare." he said still looking at her.

"Really now. Would be considering me to be your lead mare? If so I wouldn't mind," she said. She moved and looked at him. Stormy had moved slightly but went back to sleep.
